Butterfly Life Cycle
A short and to the point book, How a Caterpillar Becomes a Butterfly! is only 4 pages long. The colorful yet simple graphics and the briefness of the book are designed with the shorter attention spans in mind. This is an excellent first step for sequencing activities while introducing some science in simple language most children can comprehend.
One version is in the traditional Adapted Heart format designed to be laminated and used with velcro dots. The other version is designed to be printed the same way (single sided), folded the same way(along the center line), and easily stapled along the left margins once folded (that extra wide side). No lamination is necessary, as the interactive pieces are on separate pages and there are no empty boxes in the book.

Flower Life Cycle
The Life Cycle of a Flower uses simple language that young children and those with language processing struggles may find easier to comprehend than traditional vocabulary word based lessons. They still get all of the important information and understanding of the process. It comes in 2 formats: 1 intended to be laminated (with blank squares in the bottom right corner of each page), and 1 made to be folded, stapled and used without additional prep!
STEAM_MA's Dr. Christina is a mom as well as a botanist with a PhD in space biology. She has a real passion for helping children have fun with science! She created the Self-watering planter project and graciously allowed me to adapt the instructions for our children with unique needs. You will want to visit her blog for more detailed directions:

The Life Cycle of an Apple Tree is an adapted book with differentiated sequencing activities. This book uses the phrase "I can see the...." to explore how apples trees grow and produce fruit, making it more accessible for gestalt language processors.
