For people who like them, coloring pages can be quite relaxing. I like to offer them to match my themes for those who find joy in them. Not everyone likes coloring pages and there isn't much reason to push it if your child is one who doesn't. For those who do enjoy it, the lettering on each page may encourage your child to experiment with the alphabet.
